QPAC Concert Hall Welcomes Beethoven and Mozart V

Treat your ears to an evening of classical music with a breathtaking performance of some of Beethoven, Mozart and Bach’s greatest compositions. Australian Chamber of Orchestra brings you Beethoven and Mozart V, which will be held at QPAC Concert Hall on 16th of May 2016.
Gillian Wills will join the audience for a 45-minute pre-show chat at 6:15 p.m. Allow director and violinist Richard Tognetti bring to life dramatic pieces composed by Johann Sebastian Bach (The Art of Fugue: Contrapunctus I - IV), Amadeus Wolfgang Mozart (Violin Concerto No.5, K.219), and Ludwig van Beethoven [(arr. strings) String Quartet Op.130 and (arr. strings) Grosse Fuge, Op.133].
The Art of Fugue: Contrapunctus I - IV is Bach’s most ambitious composition, transcending mere theory to achieve rapturous heights. Bach’s music greatly influenced the artistry of Beethoven, and this became evident in the latter’s works such as Grosse Fugue and Fugue in D Major. Mozart’s violin concerto, No. 5 in A Major is a brilliant showcase of dramatic and playful tunes.
